Envision’s Robin Frijns went quickest in the final practice session before today’s first race of the London E-Prix weekend.
The Dutchman, who is looking to retain his seat with the team and has been in a rich vein of form, set the fastest Time of 1:10.544s, just over one tenth ahead of Oliver Rowland, who is still mathematically capable of winning the title.
Frijns’ team-mate Sébastien Buemi was third [+0.135s], with title-leader Nick Cassidy fourth [+0.204s], the Kiwi looking to wrap-up his first ever FIA Formula E Drivers’ Championship.
Another three of Cassidy’s rivals, Pascal Wehrlein [+0.225s], Jake Dennis [+0.258s] and team-mate and compatriot Mitch Evans [+0.292s] were fifth, sixth and seventh respectively.
Sacha Fenestraz, whose seat with Nissan is thought to be under threat, was eighth [+0.338s], with home boy Dan Ticktum ninth [+0.362s]
Jean-Eric Vergne, who is also in contention and went fastest yesterday, was 10th [+0.387s].
The remaining driver of the seven still within a chance of glory, Antonio Felix da Costa, was a lowly 19th [+0.743].
