Callum Ilott led a Porsche 1-2-3 at Interlagos for JOTA, as the top three cars were covered by a single tenth, in the third and final free practice session for the FIA World Endurance Championship’s 6 Hours of Sao Paulo.
Ilott, onboard the #12 JOTA Porsche 963, set a 1:24.287 early in the session, with #5 Porsche’s Matt Campbell 0.012 off and Kevin Estre, in the sister #6 machine 0.093 away from the Brit.
It began raining a`round 20 minutes into the session, and although relatively light with most cars staying on slicks, it meant the track was slippery and greasy, meaning no one improved in the remaining 40 minutes.
In fourth was #35 Alpine A424’s Charles Milesi, with Dries Vanthoor fifth quickest in the #15 BMW M Hybrid V8.
Toyota, fastest in FP2, were only 13th and 14th, while the three Ferraris were eighth, ninth, and 16th.
#92 Manthey Purerxcing Porsche 911 GT3 R’s Aliaksandr Malykhin was fastest in LMGT3, setting a 1:35.488. Under a tenth off was Nicolas Pino in the #95 United Autosports McLaren 720S GT3 Evo, while Sarah Bovy was third quickest in the #85 Iron Dames Lamborghini Huracan GT3 EVO2.
Qualifying will begin at 2:30pm local time, or 6:30pm GMT.
