The FIA Formula 3 Sprint race at Silverstone has been postponed due to extremely wet conditions.
July at Silverstone meant one thing for the F3 field on Saturday morning, rain!
Standing water lined the 3.66-mile Northamptonshire circuit and caught a few drivers out on their initial runs to the grid, including championship contender Gabriele Mini who briefly got beached in the gravel at Stowe.
The conditions were such that everyone, including Mini, retreated to the pits with the race start significantly delayed.
As lashes of rain continued, the race start procedure was routinely delayed again and again until the decision came to postpone the Sprint race entirely.
A new start time of 18:00 (local) has been set transforming F3 from being the first single-seater action of the day to the last.
