Kevin Estre topped the afternoon session of the Le Mans test day, with the #6 Porsche 963 setting a 3:26.907. He was followed by Felipe Nasr in the #4 Porsche, with the Brazilian 0.235 behind the Frenchman, making it a Porsche 1-2.
The #8 Toyota GR010 Hybrid of Brendon Hartley was third, just over seven tenths off Estre.
Fourth was the third Porsche, the #5, with Michael Christensen setting the car’s best time, a 3:27.773.
Fifth was the quickest Ferrari, the #50, with Mugel Molina 1.107 off Estre.
In terms of action through the session, there were two red flags: the first caused by Stephane Richelmi in the #10 Vector Sport Oreca 07-Gibson, when he went off at Indianapolis after 46 minutes.
The second red flag was caused by Kamui Kobayashi in the #7 Toyota. The Japanese driver also went off at Indianapolis with five minutes left, which effectively ended the session.
In LMP2, Oliver Jarvis was fastest in the #22 United Autosports Oreca 07-Gibson. The Briton set a 3:34.704 to go quickest, a full 1.277 seconds faster than Olli Caldwell in the #25 Algarve Pro Racing Oreca.
Third was the #30 Duqueine Oreca 07-Gibson of James Allen, a further four tenths off Caldwell.
Finally, in LMGT3, Sebastien Baud in the #82 TF Sport Corvette Z06 GT3.R was fastest, setting a 3:59.883. Alex Riberas was second in the #27 Heart of Racing Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT3, just 0.027 slower, with Team WRT’s Augusto Farfus setting exactly the same lap time in the #31 WRT BMW M4 GT3.
