The FIA decided to rescind a penalty to Formula 3 Sprint Winner Oliver Goethe, meaning that he keeps the Sprint win
Campos driver Oliver Goethe was initially found to breached Article 40.7 of the FIA F3 regulations, referring to an alleged Safety Car infringement
The FIA considered that Goethe failed to stay above the minimum time during the Safety Car procedure.
Nonetheless, after reviewing the available data evidence, the Stewards have decided to overturn the penalty and grant the win back to the Red Bull Junior.
“After taking into account all of the information, the Stewards ruled that the penalty assigned to Goethe in-race was invalid due to the timing matrix not reflecting changes made to Article 40.7 of the 2024 Sporting Regulations at the start of the season. Because of this, the penalty applied to Goethe in the race was incorrect, and as a result of its removal, moves him back to P1.”
