Red Bull has released a statement noting that it is “unaware” about growing reports Chief Technical Officer Adrian Newey has decided to depart its Formula 1 team.
The Briton, 65, has been aligned with Red Bull since 2006 and has designed cars that have been driven to seven Drivers’ titles and six Constructors’ Championships.
However, it has been reported that Newey has informed the Austrian outfit’s management that he intends to exit his role amid the perceived ongoing power struggle.
Newey has been linked with moves to both Ferrari and Aston Martin in recent times, with the latter speculated to have strung together a lucrative financial proposal.
But Red Bull has countered the increasing rumours with a statement that clarifies it has received no inclination he is planning to head elsewhere to a rival F1 outfit.
“Adrian is contracted until at least the end of 2025 and we are unaware of him joining any other team,” a statement from Red Bull’s HOC read.
