BMW M Motorsport Global Ambassador Samantha Tan will make her GT America series debut at Long Beach this weekend.
Set to drive the #38 ST Racing BMW M4 GT4, the Canadian driver will make her first appearance racing a GT4 car since 2021.
Tan co-owns a racing team with her father, competing in the GT World Challenge America under her team’s banner.
Samantha Tan Racing was established in 2017, winning back-to-back Team Championships in the Pirelli World Challenge and the Pirelli GT4 America series.
She has also experienced success in the 2021 24H Series overall championship and enjoyed victory in her step up to GT3 racing in 2022.
The team also took the overall victory for BMW’s new M4 GT3 at the 2022 12 Hours of Mugello.
Earning their maiden victory for the Ferrari 296 GT3, Samantha Tan Racing won at the GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup season finale in Barcelona.
Returning as a BMW M Motorsport ambassador for 2024, Tan will jump back in a GT4 car after enjoying fruitful spells in GT3 racing with co-driver Neil Verhagen scoring five consecutive podiums in last year’s Pro-AM series.
At the 2024 GT World Challenge America season-opener, her team secured four class podiums with two cars at the Sonoma Raceway with drivers Varun Choksey and Bill Auberlen in the sister car.
Taking place on the 19-21 April, the GT America series will support the third round of the NTT IndyCar series.
