DS Penske’s Jean-Éric Vergne topped the timesheets in both practice sessions ahead of today’s first part of the Misano E-Prix double-header.

The Frenchman led a Penske 1-2 in FP1, setting a time of 1:17.546s, just under two tenths of a second ahead of team-mate Stoffel Vandoorne. Nick Cassidy was third, with Jean Daruvala an impressive fourth, sandwiched by the second Jaguar TCS Racing of Mitch Evans, with Nico Müller rounding-up the top six.

Maserati MSG Racing’s Max Günther had a disappointing session, stopping out on track before managing to coast his car to the pits, having only completed five laps.

In FP2, Vergne was quickest again, setting a faster time of 1:17.482s, just two hundredths of a second ahead of NEOM McLaren’s Jake Hughes. Envision Racing’s Sebastian Buemi was third, with Cassidy fourth, but the Kiwi’s session ended in spectacular fashion, skidding into the wall after getting a wheel on the grass in an attempt to avoid a slowing Sam Bird.
