Andretti Global has shown off a trio of redesigned liveries for the 2024 NTT IndyCar Series season.
The liveries follow a common theme, and form a matching set despite each car sporting a different major color along the side of the cockpit and up to the rollhoop.
Colton Herta’s #26 entry sports a familiar yellow color, which corresponds to the primary color of his major sponsor Gainbridge.
Kyle Kirkwood’s #27 machine is adorned with the bright pink that is associated with AutoNation, allowing the neon-colored car to stand out among the field of mostly red, yellow, and blue liveries.
Marcus Ericsson, who is joining the team for the upcoming season, will have dark blue and sea green as his primary colors on the #28.
Andretti has long styled their cars similarly to one another, making for an identifiable look among all their drivers.
This year, the color splashes are mainly located on the front half of the car, however, with the engine covers and rear wing endplates now painted majority black.
The chrome nose cone remains on the new design, and will be present this year just as it has every year since 2009.
That portion of the design links the team back to a chrome helmet design that Mario Andretti wore during his racing years.
Behind the chrome section and up the nose to the cockpit is now white on all three cars, with the car numbers clearly visible in the color-free section.
The Andretti redesign joins new liveries from Arrow McLaren, Chip Ganassi Racing, and others who have found a new look thanks to talented graphic designers.
The opening round on the streets of St. Petersburg, which takes place in two weeks’ time, will show off a plethora of new colors for fans to gawk at while they cheer on their favorite drivers.
