Tech 3 will run Red Bull branding for the first time since 2021 as it welcomes back the energy drink giant as its title sponsor for the 2024 MotoGP season.
The French outfit has run with the branding of bike supplier KTM as its official satellite partner, the team running KTM’s orange house colors in 2022 before switching to its GASGAS brand for 2023. While retaining the Spanish brands dark red for this term, it has added Red Bull as its title partner for the first time since 2021.
The Austrian firm acted as Tech 3’s title partner since it switched from Yamaha to become KTM’s chief satellite outfit in 2019 until it ended the deal at the end of 2021. The brand’s return to the operation comes after it decided to end its sponsorship arrangement with the factory Honda team.
Reflecting the rekindled title partnership deal, Red Bull features predominantly throughout the scheme featured on the KTM RC16s. Unveiled by 2024 riders Pedro Acosta and Augusto Fernandez, Red Bull’s infamous blue, red, and yellow branding can be found running down the side and front of the bikes.
Large white GASGAS decals run along just above the Red Bull branding, while the manufacturer’s logo features on the front fairing and wheel guards. Running the #31 for his rookie premier class campaign, reigning Moto2 world champion Acosta’s number will be colored white, while 2022 intermediate class champion Fernandez will run his #37 in red.
Fernandez will be looking to build upon a strong debut season in MotoGP in which he showed impressive speed at times. His best result came after taking fourth in the French Grand Prix at Le Mans, while a total of 71 points left him 17th in the riders standings at seasons end.
Acosta meanwhile will be keen to make the most of a promising Valencia test to hit the ground running in 2024. The Spaniard secured last year’s Moto2 title in commanding style with seven victories to end the year over 70 points clear of Marc VDS’ Tony Arbolino.
