2023 Italian Formula 4 Champion and Red Bull Junior Kacper Sztuka is set to take on his maiden FIA Formula 3 campaign with MP Motorsport.
The 17-year-old makes the jump to international competition after an impressive season in Italy, claiming nine wins, 12 podiums and eight fastest laps en route to the title.
A recent inductee to the Red Bull Junior programme, the driver hailing from Cieszyn has already had a chance to acclimatise with the Dutch MP Motorsport outfit’s F3 machine at a two-day test in Imola featuring in the top 12 on the combined timesheets.
His single-seater career began with his debut in the Italian F4 Championship in 2021 and he finished sixth in the series a year later ahead of his title run in 2023.
Sztuka has also contested the German F4 series, Euro 4 Championship and was the inaugural Formula Winter Series Champion in 2023.
He will be partnered with fellow Red Bull Junior Tim Tramnitz at MP, along with a yet-to-be-named third driver.
“I’m extremely happy to be able to step up to FIA F3 with MP Motorsport”, said Sztuka.
“The team has a strong pedigree in the series, which will help me with a smooth transition from F4 to F3.
“I loved the car when I drove it in the Imola test, and can’t wait to step back into it for more testing and the new season ahead.
“It’s going to be a huge challenge but I’m up for the task. Bring it on!”
“We are really pleased to welcome Kacper to the team”, added MP Motorsport Team Principal Sander Dorsman.
“He had a sensational season in Italian F4, and being invited to join the Red Bull Junior Team was just reward for what has been a brilliant year.
“He immediately showed his promise in the Imola test, so we are confident that Kacper is ready for a strong debut in FIA F3.
“The whole team are looking forward to working with both Kacper and Tim during the season.”
The 10-round 2024 FIA F3 calendar begins in Bahrain on February 29 – March 02.
