Red Bull has confirmed that it will unveil its 2024 Formula 1 challenger, the RB20, with a launch event on 15 February.
The Milton-Keynes-based squad have dominated F1 since the return to ground effect aerodynamics in 2022, winning 39 of the 44 races during the past two years.
Last season Red Bull obliterated the competition to emerge victorious in all but one of the 22 rounds to retain both the Drivers and Constructors’ Championships.
That crushing advantage enabled Red Bull to cease development on its all-conquering 2023 car with several rounds to spare and turn attention to the RB19’s successor.
While Ferrari and Mercedes are pursuing revised concepts, Red Bull Team Principal Christian Horner revealed the reigning champions will be looking to evolve “all aspects”.
Red Bull will field Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez for the fourth consecutive season in 2024. However, the latter is under pressure to perform with his contract expiring.
Meanwhile, Verstappen is tied down through 2028 and delivered the most successful campaign in F1 history last term, logging a record 19 race victories and 575 points.
Red Bull has become the seventh team to announce their launch plans for 2024, with the Austrian outfit’s live event scheduled to take place only one day after Mercedes.
Williams and Sauber will commence the F1 launch season on February 5 in New York and London respectively, with Alpine to come three days later.
As it stands, there will then be a five-day break before Aston Martin pulls the covers off the AMR24, followed by Ferrari, Mercedes and Red Bull on consecutive days.
AlphaTauri, Red Bull’s second-string squad which is set to be rebranded, Haas and McLaren are the three remaining teams yet to disclose when their cars will be shown.
