IMSA has released the complete list of teams and drivers entering the Roar Before the 24 on 19-21 January, as a Kellymoss GTD withdrawal sets the overall count down to 59 entries.
The updated edition of the 24 Hours of Daytona entry list confirms every driver within each entry across the four categories: GTP, LMP2, GTD Pro and GTD.
GTP consists of 10 entries, and only the #31 Whelen Cadillac Racing competitor features three drivers in their lineup, as the other nine utilise four drivers.
Chip Ganassi Racing recently announced their fourth Daytona driver for their Cadillac Racing #01 entrant – double IndyCar Series champion Alex Palou.
Ben Keating is set to embark on another Daytona 24 Hours where he will ‘double duty’, having done so previously in the DPi era.
Therefore, he will take part across two entries: The JDC Miller Motorsports Porsche 963 and the #2 United Autosports Oreca 07 LMP2.
As a decorated Bronze-rated driver, it will mark the first time such a driver has driven an LMDh car.
The LMP2 field of 13 entries shows all but the Sean Creech Motorsport team utilising the Oreca 07 Gibson package, as the Florida-based team field the #33 Ligier JS P217.
Era Motorsport’s Endurance Cup driver will be Mazda MX-5 Cup star Connor Zilisch, who will embark on his endurance racing debut at the 62nd running of the Daytona 24 Hours.
The sole LMP2 change was a late addition in the form of Dragonspeed after the MDK Motorsport’s second Porsche 911 GT3.R (GTD) was withdrawn.
For the #81 Oreca, Kyffin Simpson has been enlisted as part of their driver crew.
In GTD Pro, a mixture of triple or quadrant driver crews have been featured, bringing together some of the most widely renowned factory drivers in GT racing as Ford embarks on their brand new chapter with the Mustang GT3’s debut.
GTD will host 23 entries*, after the #91 Kellymoss Porsche withdrew from the list.
A fourth driver has yet to be confirmed by the Iron Dames team.
The Roar Before the 24 testing and qualifying will take place from 19-21 January, as free practice will follow on the next week, concluded by the main race itself on 27-28 January.
