The length of the DRS zone along the Las Vegas Strip has been increased by 50 metres.
In an updated circuit map, distributed to teams on Friday evening ahead of FP2, the second activation point is now located 870 metres before the apex of Turn 14.
Drivers were able to use DRS from 820 metres before Turn 14 during Thursday practice.
The detection point for the DRS zone, 710 metres after Turn 12, has not been altered.
The Strip is one of the longest full-throttle sections on the calendar, extending to 1.8km.
The other DRS zone, located between Turns 4 and 5, has not been altered.
