Charles Leclerc has taken pole position for the Las Vegas Grand Prix with a time of 1:32.726s, just 0.044s ahead of teammate Carlos Sainz.
Sainz will incur a ten-place grid penalty for the GP, so Max Verstappen who finished third in qualifying, will start from the front row of the grid.
George Russell qualified an impressive fourth in his Mercedes, with Pierre Gasly making a strong showing in his Alpine with the fifth fastest time.
Williams had both its cars in the top-10 shootout for just the second time this season, with Alex Albon sixth and Logan Sargeant seventh.
Valtteri Bottas continued to show pace in his Alfa Romeo by posting the eighth fastest time, with Kevin Magnussen ninth for Haas.
The top-10 was completed by Fernando Alonso for Aston Martin.
