Toyota needed a four point swing to clinch the Manufacturers’ Championship and after Suninen’s demise in the penultimate stage, and in spite of Neuville’s best efforts, it wasn’t enough to keep the fight alive as Toyota swept to a 1 – 2 on the Wolf Power Stage, earning nine points.
Behind Neuville’s Hyundai, Evans made it three different manufacturers in the top three, followed by Kalle Rovanpera and Takamoto Katsuta.
