Lance Stroll has been given the all-clear by the medical crew at Formula 1’s Singapore Grand Prix after a sizeable accident during qualifying.
Stroll was in the drop zone at the end of Q1 and as he rounded the final corner on his last push lap he lost control and suffered a heavy impact with the barriers.
Stroll was able to extricate himself from the extensive wreckage and the session was halted and delayed while the AMR23 was removed and track repairs undertaken.
Aston Martin confirmed in the aftermath that Stroll visited the medical centre as a precaution and was given the all-clear.
Stroll’s Aston Martin team-mate Fernando Alonso went on to qualify in seventh position.
