Carlos Sainz led the way for Ferrari as Friday running came to a close with FP2 at the Italian Grand Prix.

The Spaniard’s best effort of 1:21.355s put him narrowly ahead of ex-McLaren team-mate Lando Norris by 0.019s at Monza.

The sister McLaren of Oscar Piastri classified fourth, splitting the two Red Bull drivers with Sergio Perez ahead of Max Verstappen.

Charles Leclerc ended up 0.3s adrift of his team-mate, while Alex Albon secured a place inside the top 10 for the second session running.

Lewis Hamilton, however, failed to set a lap time on the Soft tyre, wounding up 17th overall.
