IndyCar visited Indianapolis for a race around the familiar interior road course, and it was a battle of veterans at the front of the field.
Scott Dixon eventually won when the checkered flags flew, but he had to hold off a charging Graham Rahal in the final laps to earn his first win of the 2023 season.
Dixon’s win extended his streak of winning a race every season to an incredible 19, and came on the same weekend he took sole possession of IndyCar’s ironman label by running in his 319th consecutive race.

There was only one caution, which came on the first lap, and involved a few drivers including Josef Newgarden. All were able to continue, although Newgarden was not able to work his way back to the lead lap.
There is a one week break before a push through the final three races of the season, with the paddock reconvening at World Wide Technology Raceway on August 27.
