Kevin Estre leads the 6 Hours of Monza with two hours gone, but he has a very slim lead over Antonio Felix da Costa and Alessandro Pier Guidi.

Pier Guidi, in the #51 Ferrari 499P, is just over two seconds back from Estre, on board the #6 Porsche 963. Da Costa is a further second back, with the Portuguese driver formerly leading the race earlier on in the #38 JOTA Porsche 963.

However, a strategy race has emerged between two groups of Hypercars, the result of which likely won’t be clear for a while yet.

Some cars, including Da Costa, Alex Lynn in the #2 Cadillac V-Series.R, and Estre’s teammate Laurens Vanthoor in the #6 Porsche 963, pitted to save time pitting later, sacrificing track position in the process.

However, other cars did not pit, including the front row starting #7 Toyota GR010 Hybrid, started by Mike Conway, and the #50 Ferrari 499P, with Miguel Molina at the wheel.

These two are now seventh and eighth, with Jose Maria Lopez in the #7 Toyota ahead of Nicklas Nielsen in the #50 Ferrari.

In fourth is the #99 Proton Porsche 963, Gimmi Bruni at the wheel, with Richard Westbrook fifth in the #2 Cadillac V-Series.R and Michael Christensen, onboard the #5 Porsche 963, sixth.

The two Peugeots are ninth and 10th, with the #94 Peugeot 9X8 suffering from downshift issues, and has recently been backed into the garage.

Oliver Rasmussen leads LMP2 in the #28 JOTA Oreca 07-Gibson, with Oliver Jarvis second in the #23 United Autosports Oreca 07-Gibson, around 10 seconds back.

Ferdinand Habsburg is third in the #31 WRT Oreca 07-Gibson.

GTE-Am polesitter Sarah Bovy leads in the #85 Iron Dames Porsche 911 RSR-19. Lilou Wadoux is second in the #83 Richard Mille AF Corse Ferrari 488 GTE evo, while Ben Keating is third in the #33 Corvette C8.R.
