23 drivers will take part in the first in-season rookie test of the Gen3 era in Berlin next Monday, with all teams now having confirmed their line-ups.
Formula E last held a rookie test in 2020 in Marrakech which saw the likes of Nick Cassidy, Jamie Chadwick and Norman Nato test the cars for the first time.
The test format is a compromise between the teams and the series that initially wanted to introduce rookie FP1 sessions in the same format as F1.
However, unlike the original proposal, the test will happen after the competitive running of the weekend so as to not jeopardise the limited track running of the main drivers.
There is expected to be a second rookie test with just one car in Rome in the penultimate rounds of the season.
This test will also be the first chance teams will have to conduct public in-season testing as they continue to learn more about the Gen3 car.
The line-up includes a mixture of former F1 drivers, junior drivers in Formula 2 and 3 as well as talents from the sports car and endurance world.
Formula E is no stranger to F1 talent, with several of the current grid having previously raced in the top tier of motorsport.
After leaving F1 at the end of 2021, Danil Kvyat will return to single-seaters for the test after making the switch to sports cars. The Russian driver has been announced as a Lamborghini Factory driver for their 2024 LMDh programme.
Current F1 reserves Felipe Drugovich and Robert Shwartzman will also run in the test as they look to carve a path to the top tiers of motorsport.
There is no surprise at the amount of young talent looking to Formula E as a potential option to take them to a world championship in motorsport, with the likes of Jake Hughes and Dan Ticktum proving there can be success found in the series.
Reserve drivers Jehan Daruvala and David Beckmann will take part for Mahindra and Porsche respectively. Beckmann specifically will be needing a positive test as he is set to step in for Andretti driver Andre Lotterer when Formula E clashes with his duties with the Porsche Hypercar programme.
The test will take place on Monday 24th April, with the day split into two sessions.
