The streets of Long Beach, California hosted IndyCar for the annual event, and it was Kyle Kirkwood who walked away as the series’ newest winner.

The sophomore driver started on pole and led the most laps on the way to his first victory in the top series, putting a smile on the face of his team owner Michael Andretti.
Romain Grosjean finished close behind, giving Andretti Autosport a 1-2 finish on the day. Marcus Ericsson was third, and ran out of time to make a charge for the top spots.
A few other favorites heading into the day had a race to forget, with Pato O’Ward and Scott Dixon both finishing down the order.
