Brendon Hartley topped the timesheets for Toyota in the third and final practice session for the FIA World Endurance Championship 6 Hours of Portimao.
The Kiwi, behind the wheel of the #8 Toyota GR010 Hybrid, set a 1:31.795, the fastest time of the weekend so far, in a qualifying simulation run.
The #51 Ferrari 499P of James Calado was second, under two tenths off Hartley. In third was Kamui Kobayashi in the sister #7 Toyota, just under a tenth away from Calado.
The #94 Peugeot of Nico Muller was fourth, but was seven tenths off Kobayashi.
In fifth was the first of the LMDh-rules cars, the #02 Cadillac V-Series.R of Richard Westbrook, a few hundredths adrift of Muller, while Tom Dillmann showed a good turn of pace in the #4 Vanwall 680 to take sixth, a tenth off Westbrook.
The #50 Ferrari of Sebring polesitter Antonio Fuoco was next up, while the two Porsche 963s of Laurens Vanthoor and Fred Makowiecki were eighth and ninth. Rounding out the Hypercar class were the #93 Peugeot and #708 Glickenhaus.
Gabriel Aubry was fastest in LMP2 for the second consecutive session, behind the wheel of the #10 Vector Sport Oreca 07-Gibson, with a time of 1:34.265. Louis Deletraz was just two thousandths of a second away though in the #41 WRT Oreca 07-Gibson, while his teammate Robin Frijns, in the sister #31 WRT Oreca 07-Gibson, was just over two tenths off Aubry’s pace.
Finally, in GTE-Am, Davide Rigon set the pace in the #54 AF Corse Ferrari 488 GTE Evo, with a 1:40.426. Alessio Rovera was next up in the #83 Richard Mille AF Corse Ferrari 488 GTE Evo, while Michelle Gatting was third in class in the #85 Iron Dames Porsche 911 RSR-19.
Qualifying begins at 15:30 local time.
