There was a lot of action in the IndyCar season opener from St. Petersburg, and it was Marcus Ericsson that took victory on the tricky streets.

Pato O’Ward looked set to win, but suffered a short loss of power on the frontstretch with three laps to go that gifted the top spot to the Swede.
Elsewhere, there were many stoppages and many wrecked racecars during the 100-lap event. Many more drivers left the track disappointed than were happy with their results.
