Ferrari has already moved Charles Leclerc’s SF-23 onto its second Energy Store and Control Electronics of the season.
The Energy Store and Control Electronics are two of the six components that make up the power unit.
Drivers are restricted on the number of components permitted per season and they are only allowed two Energy Stores and two Control Electronics.
The components has been replaced ahead of the race with the approval of FIA Technical Delegate Jo Bauer following a written request from Ferrari.
Ferrari prioritised reliability during the off-season after a spate of setbacks compromised its 2022 prospects.
Leclerc will start Sunday’s season-opening Bahrain Grand Prix from third place.
