Haas have supplied a first look at their 2023 challenger, becoming the third Formula 1 team to take to the track so far this year.
Haas gave the public a first real look at the VF23 with images posted on social media from a shakedown during a filming day today at Silverstone.
A video posted by Haas suggested that Kevin Magnussen was the first to take to the track in the new machinery after other shots showed the car mostly visible in the garage – as team members were placed to block some areas from view.
Nico Hulkenberg joins Magnussen at the team this season in his first full-time drive since 2019 and although he was present in the garage for the shakedown, the team didn’t show Hulkenberg in the car.
Haas had unveiled their 2023 MoneyGram livery 11 days earlier on the 31st of January however, the team were adamant that the digital renders didn’t represent what the actual car would look like.
This season will also be the first where Haas anticipates it will be able to spend in line with F1’s budget cap following its partnership with title sponsor MoneyGram.
The US-owned squad ended the 2022 campaign eighth in the Constructors’ Championship.
