The 2022 Formula 1 drivers have compiled a list that ranks the performers from first to 10th following the most recent campaign.
Max Verstappen, who dominated en route to a second World Championship, topped the list.
The Dutchman was also voted as the best driver on the grid by the sport’s team bosses, who took part in a separate count.
The rules, as outlined by formula1.com, allowed drivers to vote for themselves – however not all chose to do so.
19 drivers took part in the vote, with Mercedes’ Lewis Hamilton not casting his opinion.
Scores were based on the current F1 points system, with the first driver awarded 25 points down to a solitary point for 10th.
Verstappen also topped the same study in 2021 after his run to a maiden F1 title.
Charles Leclerc, who ended the season second in the Drivers’ Championship, was also second on the drivers’ list.
Lewis Hamilton and George Russell were tied for third place following their first season as team-mates at Mercedes.
Lando Norris was fifth after another strong year for McLaren, while Fernando Alonso was sixth ahead of his move to Aston Martin in 2023.
Carlos Sainz was seventh, while there was a three-way tie for eighth.
Alexander Albon, the now-retired Sebastian Vettel and Red Bull’s Sergio Perez accumulated the same number of points to finish off the list.
