Virtuosi Racing has confirmed its driver line-up for the 2023 FIA Formula 2 season, announcing Jack Doohan and Amaury Cordeel.
Doohan raced for the team during his rookie F2 campaign this year, scoring three pole positions, three race wins and six podiums en route to sixth in the championship standings.
“I’m thrilled to be continuing with Virtuosi Racing for my second year in Formula 2,” Alpine F1 junior Doohan said.
“After a strong first season together, I couldn’t be happier to be going into 2023 with the same great team around me. I can’t wait to get redemption from this season.”
Cordeel also endured his first F2 campaign in 2022, competing for Van Amersfoort Racing.
The Belgian driver had a more difficult season – he was forced to sit out the Silverstone round after accumulating too many penalty points.
His best stretch of the year came in the final rounds, as he scored points at four of the last five races.
“I’m very happy to say I will be driving with virtuosi in F2 next year,” Cordeel said. “It is clear that Virtuosi is among the top teams which will only make my personal growth better.
“I already noticed with the three-day test in Abu Dhabi that they support me insanely well. The second half of last season is very promising for next year.
“I am sure that together with them I can achieve my future dreams. Really thankful for this opportunity.”
