Max Verstappen claimed pole position for the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, which hosts the final round of the 2022 Formula 1 season on Sunday.
The two-time World Champion bested team-mate Sergio Perez by two-tenths of a second, with the Ferrari’s of Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz making up third and fourth respectively.

Mercedes failed to carry over its strong form from Brazil, ending the session over half a second down on pole-sitter Verstappen.
In his final F1 qualifying session, Sebastien Vettel starred to ninth place, ahead of Daniel Ricciardo who will drop three places for Sunday’s grid.
