For the first time in its history, Formula 1 will open an experience centre, where fans can enjoy sim racing, as well as premium food and drink.
The F1 Arcade venue was founded by Adam Breeden, founder and co-founder of seven current successful entertainment ventures in London, and will be located at One New Change in London – within walking distance of St Paul’s Station and the Millennium Bridge.
60 motion simulators are to be installed at the venue in the midst of aesthetic bars and classy décor.
Developed by a “leading simulator design company,” and with the consultation of F1, the sim racing experience will be a diversified one, catering to all levels of ability and experience.
F1 has also confirmed that it will not be using the official game made by Codemasters and EA, but rather racing simulator, rFactor 2.
The Arcade promises to fully immerse racers in the unique feeling of driving an F1 car, while special prizes are up for grabs.
There will also be “enhanced experiences” running concurrently with F1 race weekends.
Breeden, F1 Arcade’s CEO, said: “We are thrilled to offer the first of these premium and exclusive entertainment experiences right in the heart of London.
“It has been my most ambitious project to date, taking everything we know about competitive socialising venues and adding the strength of the Formula 1 brand.
“This is all the glamour of a Grand Prix weekend in your city, all year round. The cutting-edge technology, high-class food and beverage, coupled with a jaw-dropping venue design sets a new level of quality.”
F1 Arcade is slated to open to the public on 24 November.
