Sheldon van der Linde took pole for the second DTM race of the weekend at the Nurburgring, closely followed by his brother Kelvin, in a repeat of yesterday’s 1-2 race result for the South Africans.
Dennis Olsen will start third in his SSR Performance Porsche. Olsen looked to have a front row start locked in, but K. van der Linde put in a faster lap to deny the Norwegian.
Former championship leader, until yesterday, Mirko Bortolotti, will start fourth, looking to redeem himself after yesterday’s mishap with Felipe Fraga, who will start 16th.
Thomas Preining will start fifth, followed by Philipp Eng, with reigning champion Maximillian Gotz in seventh. Luca Stolz will start eighth with Laurens Vanthoor ninth, followed by Lucas Auer rounding out the top 10.
The race will start at 13:30 CEST local time, or 12:30 BST in the UK.
