Ralph Boschung is set to make a comeback to FIA Formula 2 in Belgium after an injury-enforced layoff.
Campos driver Boschung has suffered facet syndrome through 2022, causing neck pain, which has interrupted his season.
Boschung, a veteran of Formula 2 with 88 starts since 2017, scored a podium in the Imola Feature Race but had to sit out the following event at Barcelona, before withdrawing from Monaco’s round.
Boschung returned to action in Baku but withdrew from Silverstone’s round after qualifying and opted to sit out the following three events of the season.
“It’s good to be back,” said Boschung. “It’s been the toughest times of my career lately but I’m happy I can try to race again in Spa.
“Of course, I will know once I drive how the neck will react so I will remain cautiously optimistic.
“Campos deserve great results as we have shown beginning of the season so I will do my best in order to achieve this.”
Boschung will partner Lirim Zendeli at Spa-Francorchamps with the German stepping in to replace suspended Alpine junior Olli Caldwell.
