After sweltering hot and dry conditions were present all-around at the French Grand Prix weekend last time out, the upcoming event in Hungary may not be rain-free.
Hungary hosts round 13 of the season, and the last race before the sport goes into a shutdown for the month of August.
According to forecasts, Saturday at the Hungaroring may be a wet affair, as rain could impact the qualifying session.
AccuWeather says that on Friday, there will be a 42 per cent chance of precipitation throughout the day – however the temperature is set to remain above 30 degrees.
On Saturday, the risk of rain increases to 81 per cent, with a 49 per cent probability of thunderstorms.
It means that there may be extra pressure on drivers in the qualifying session to complete a lap in difficult circumstances, as overtaking around Hungary is often difficult.
Rain for the grand prix decreases again, with the chance for rainfall dipping to 25 per cent on Sunday.
Last year’s Hungarian Grand Prix ran in mostly dry conditions, however the start of the race saw drivers start on wet weather tyres due to earlier rainfall, with Valtteri Bottas hitting Lando Norris on the run to the opening corner.
