Antonio Felix da Costa has inherited pole position for the second Formula E race of the New York weekend following a penalty for Nick Cassidy.
Cassidy ended the session as the quickest driver for the second consecutive day, having topped Saturday’s qualifying outing.
Cassidy and da Costa faced off in the final duel of the day, with Cassidy besting the DS Techeetah driver by over one and a half tenths.
However, after the session, his pole position was stripped from him as his battery pack and the RESS radiator were changed following Saturday’s race.
As it is the fifth RESS radiator used this year on Cassidy’s car, he has received a 30-place penalty, which sends him to the back of the field.
Da Costa now starts on pole, with Alexander Sims alongside him on the front row.
