Valtteri Bottas is set to start Formula 1’s Austrian Grand Prix from the pit lane after breaking parc ferme regulations.
Bottas was due to line up from the back of the 20-car grid after taking on a fresh power unit on Friday.
Bottas, who rounded out the top 10 in Sprint, has now taken on a different rear wing assembly while changes have also been made to the set-up of the suspension.
Consequently he must start Sunday’s grand prix from the pit lane. He has also taken on a fresh MGU-H and Turbocharger.
Meanwhile Alpine has equipped Fernando Alonso’s A522 with fresh power unit elements following his failure to start Saturday’s Sprint due to an electrical issue.
Alonso was already due to start from the back row of the grid due to his Sprint setback.
