Zak O’Sullivan has won out in qualifying and taken pole position for Sunday’s Feature Race at Silverstone.
The Williams academy driver narrowly headed PREMA Racing’s Arthur Leclerc, claiming the top spot by 0.027s.
It marks O’Sullivan’s first pole position of the 2022 season, and ensures that after four rounds of the season, there is not yet a repeat driver on pole position.
Zane Maloney was third, less than a tenth down on achieving his second pole of the campaign.
Caio Collet was fourth fastest, leading the remaining two PREMA cars in the field of Jak Crawford and Oliver Bearman.
The Hitech Grand Prix pair of Kaylen Frederick and Isack Hadjar were seventh and ninth respectively, and had the Trident of Roman Stanek between them.
Kush Maini, who ended Friday morning’s practice session in first place, was the 10th fastest driver in the field.
Reece Ushijima will start Saturday’s Sprint Race on reverse grid pole position after finishing the session in 12th place, behind championship leader Victor Martins in 11th.
Saturday’s Sprint Race will get underway at 09:55 local time.
