David Beckmann will replace the injured Cem Bolukbasi at this weekend’s Formula 2 round at Imola, while Juan Manuel Correa will be absent from the Formula 3 event.

Bolukbasi suffered a sizeable accident during the previous Formula 2 round at Jeddah and while he briefly participated in the in-season test in Spain he will not race this weekend.

A medical check-up determined that Bolukbasi had sustained a rib fracture.

Beckmann will instead take his place at Charouz Racing System.

Beckmann, previously a race winner in Formula 3, claimed two podiums across a partial season with Charouz in 2021, and also entered a couple of events with Campos.

Elsewhere in the support paddock ART Grand Prix will be down to two cars for this weekend’s Formula 3 round after Correa withdrew his entry.

Correa suffered a stress fracture in his left foot last month and has been advised by doctors not to risk accentuating the injury.

He holds fifth place in the Formula 3 championship after scoring points in both races in Bahrain.

Further down the grid Jenzer Motorsport has recruited Federico Malvestiti to drive for the team in place of Niko Kari.
