Formula 2’s grid for the 2022 season has been completed following confirmation that Richard Verschoor will race for Trident.
Verschoor competed in six rounds with MP Motorsport in 2021, taking victory at Silverstone, but departed ahead of the final two events due to budgetary issues.
However he returned for the finale in Abu Dhabi with Charouz Racing System after Enzo Fittipaldi was ruled out through injury.
Verschoor will link up with Calan Williams at Trident and his signing completes Formula 2’s 22-strong grid for the new campaign.
“I’m extremely proud and motivated to join a highly-professional and winning team like Trident Motorsport for the 2022 championship,” said Verschoor. “I think we have all conditions needed to achieve important goals and experience a positive season.
“I cannot wait to get on track. I will give my best to take full advantage of this great opportunity.”
