Wednesday marks the opening day of pre-season testing for the 2022 Formula 1 season, with all 10 teams set to be in action with the new cars that have been designed to meet overhauled regulations.
This week’s three-day test is running at Spanish Grand Prix venue the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, with track activity due to take place from 09:00 to 13:00, and from 14:00 to 18:00.
Each team is permitted to field one car on each day; some teams will run only one driver each day while others will split duties between their regular racers.
Alfa Romeo test driver Robert Kubica is due to drive the C42 this morning – he is scheduled to be the only back-up driver to participate in the three-day gathering.
