Earl Bamber has been brought in as a late replacement in Chip Ganassi Racing’s Cadillac line-up after Kevin Magnussen was sidelined with an undisclosed illness.
Bamber will join Renger van der Zande and Scott Dixon aboard the #01 Cadillac DPi-VR.
The New Zealander was signed to be part of the team’s line-up for 2022, but will now make his race debut earlier than expected.
Bamber has not raced in IMSA since his appearance with Team Hardpoint in the Twelve Hours of Sebring earlier this year.
While he has never won Petit Le Mans before, he won the GTLM title at Road Atlanta in 2019.
Bamber will get his first taste of the Cadillac DPi in the morning warm-up.
