Team Project 1 will contest the final round of the FIA World Endurance Championship, the Eight Hours of Bahrain, with a single car.
The #46 Porsche 911 RSR-19 had already been withdrawn from the first of the two double header races in Bahrain.
The car has now also not been shown on the final entry list for the eight-hour season finale set to take place this Saturday.
The car last appeared at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, where it was driven by Anders Buchardt, Robby Foley and Dennis Olsen.
The second withdrawal comes at the end of a difficult campaign for the German squad’s second car. It missed the opening two rounds of the season after Buchardt damaged the car during a crash in the Prologue at Spa. It then returned at Monza and contested Le Mans, but has not returned since.
The team’s other car, the #56 Porsche, will compete in the season finale with Egidio Perfetti, Matteo Cairoli and Riccardo Pera set for driving duties.
Caldwell confirmed
Olli Caldwell has been officially confirmed as part of ARC Bratislava’s LMP2 line-up.
MotorsportWeek.com reported on Wednesday that the single seater ace was set to partner Miroslav Konopka and Nelson Panciatici aboard the #44 ORECA 07-Gibson.
Caldwell himself made the announcement on his personal social media late on Wednesday, and the updated entry list released on Thursday shows that the 19-year-old will make his series debut in the LMP2 category.
The rest of the field remains nearly unchanged from the last race on Saturday. Tatiana Calderon retakes her place in the #1 Richard Mille Racing Team ORECA after missing the previous round due to clashing Super Formula commitments.
In GTE Am, Claudio Schiavoni returns to the #60 Iron Lynx Ferrari 488 GTE Evo after Rino Mastronardi filled his spot for the previous race.
As previously announced, Porsche have opted to bring their endurance drivers in for the longer race, with Fred Makowiecki and Michael Christensen returning after also contesting the 24 Hours of Le Mans and the previous eight-hour round at Portimao.
