Tom Gamble and Andy Meyrick will form part of United Autosports’ LMP3 line-up for the upcoming Petit Le Mans event.
The duo will join Niklas Kruetten aboard the #2 Ligier JS P320, which makes its second appearance of the season after previously contesting the Watkins Glen Six Hours.
Gamble makes his IMSA debut aboard the V8-powered prototype. The Briton has been with United Autosports since 2020, winning the LMP3 championship in the European Le Mans Series.
In 2021, he stepped up to the LMP2 class and won the season finale at Portimao. He also competes in the FIA World Endurance Championship with GR Racing.
“I’m really excited for Petit Le Mans,” said Gamble. “It will be the first time I’ve actually visited America and what a race to do.
“The line-up is looking really good as well and I can’t thank United enough for the opportunity. Hopefully we can go for a win to end the year on a high. It’s a long race and a lot can happen, but we will see how we get on.”
Meyrick, meanwhile, has a greater amount of experience in the IMSA WeatherTech Sportscar Championship than both of his co-drivers.
From 2014 to 2016, he raced in the series as part of the DeltaWing project, scoring a best-placed finish of fourth at Petit Le Mans in 2014.
“I’m really genuinely excited to race at Petit Le Mans again,” said Meyrick. “I think we’ve got an excellent line up and fantastic team.
“I really want to thank Zak and Richard for the opportunity. I love racing in America and to return after so long away is great. I’ve got two excellent teammates so I can’t wait to get going.”
