Nicolas Lapierre in the #36 Alpine A480 and Olivier Pla in the #708 Glickenhaus 007 had a fantastic battle, culminating in Lapierre re-taking third position after losing it some hours ago when teammate Mathieu Vaxiviere spun.
Toyota, meanwhile, continue to lead, with Mike Conway in the #7 Toyota GR010 Hybrid 43 seconds ahead of Sébastien Buemi in the sister #8 Toyota GR010 Hybrid.
Pla is in third on the road, but he owes a pitstop compared to Negrao, who has replaced Lapierre in the Alpine car and is currently 20 seconds back.
Over in LMP2, WRT also lead in a 1-2 for the Belgian team. Robin Frijns in the #31 Team WRT ORECA 07-Gibson sits almost a minute ahead of Yifei Ye in the #41 Team WRT ORECA 07-Gibson, with #65 Panis Racing ORECA 07-Gibson’s Will Stevens third in class.
Ferrari leads in GTE-Pro, with Alessandro Pier Guidi in the #51 AF Corse Ferrari 488 GTE Evo well over a minute ahead of #63 Corvette C8.R’s Jordan Taylor. Kevin Estre sits third in the #92 Porsche 911 RSR, a further 19 seconds off Taylor.
It’s a Ferrari 1-2 in GTE-Am, Nicklas Nielsen in the #83 AF Corse Ferrari 488 GTE Evo leading Matteo Cressoni in the #80 Iron Lynx Ferrari 488 GTE Evo. Dylan Pereira rounds out the top 3 in class in the #33 TF Sport Aston Martin Vantage.
