Kazuki Nakajima set a 3:27.994 in the #8 Toyota GR010 Hybrid to go quickest in the fourth and final free practice session before the Le Mans 24 Hours on Saturday.
However, it wasn’t a Toyota 1-2, with Alpine taking second. Nicolas Lapierre managed to put the #36 Alpine A480-Gibson just under three tenths slower than the leading Toyota, which the French team will hope bodes well for the race.
In third it was the sister #8 Toyota GR010, Sébastien Buemi just over one and half seconds off his teammate.
Over in LMP2, G-Drive took the top spot, with Franco Colapinto setting a 3:31.414 in the #26 G-Drive ORECA 07-Gibson. Job Van Uitert, in the #29 Racing Team Nederland ORECA 07-Gibson was just under half a second off the Argentinian, while Felipe Albuquerque slotted into third in class in the #22 United Autosports ORECA 07-Gibson.
In GTE-Pro, #79 WeatherTech Racing Porsche 911 RSR’s Laurens Vanthoor set a 3:48.246 to go quickest, with Gianmaria Bruni in the factory #91 Porsche 911 RSR making it a Porsche 1-2. #63 Corvette C8.R, with Antonio Garcia behind the wheel, completed the top 3.
Finally, in GTE-Am, Nicklas Nielsen set the fastest time, a 3:51.561 in the #AF Corse Ferrari 488 GTE Evo. Ben Barnicoat, in the #71 Inception Racing Ferrari 488 GTE Evo made it a Ferrari 1-2 in class, but teammate Ollie Millroy had a hefty crash intio the barriers at the Ford Chicanes towards the end of the session, bringing out the red flags and ensuring the session would not be resumed.
Harry Tincknell in the #99 Proton Competition Porsche 911 RSR was third fastest, just under two tenths slower than Perrodo and under five hundredths off Millroy.
