Max Verstappen has taken a third consecutive race victory, as he dominated proceedings at the Red Bull Ring for the second weekend in a row.
The Dutchman took a lights-to-flag victory and was untroubled throughout the 71 laps, crossing the line 18 seconds ahead of Valtteri Bottas, having made an extra pit stop with 10 laps remaining.
Bottas fended off Norris for second place, with the latter securing his third podium finish of the year.
Norris held second place for the opening portion of the race, but fell behind Lewis Hamilton on lap 20. The McLaren driver was then handed a five-second time penalty for forcing Sergio Perez off the track earlier in the race.
The penalty cost Norris second place in the pit stop phase, with Bottas moving in front. Hamilton picked up car damage on the road, which slowed his pace and forced Mercedes to swap their cars around, before Norris moved ahead for third.
Hamilton was forced to settle for fourth place, losing 14 points to Verstappen in the championship battle, as Verstappen also picked up the extra point for the fastest lap.
Perez picks up costly penalties, Russell denied single point
Perez was forced into a recovery drive after dropping down the order early in the race, having tangled with Norris. The Red Bull driver crossed the line in fifth, but dropped to sixth at the chequered flag.
Perez was involved in two incidents with Charles Leclerc, with the latter attempting to overtake around the outside at Turns 4 and 6 on separate laps. On both occasions, Leclerc was pushed wide and into the gravel.
The stewards handed Perez two five-second penalties for his role, which allowed Carlos Sainz, who went deep into the race before swapping onto Mediums for the final 23 laps, to inherit fifth.
Daniel Ricciardo was seventh in the second McLaren, the Australian producing a strong performance after another disappointing qualifying result. Leclerc was eighth.
Pierre Gasly came home in ninth, while George Russell missed out on a top 10 finish by just three laps. The latter stages of the race saw him tussle with Fernando Alonso – the two-time world champion prevailed to steal the point for Alpine.
Vettel, Raikkonen involved in final-lap collision
With Esteban Ocon looking set to be the only retirement following an incident on the opening lap, he was joined by Sebastian Vettel, who got caught up in a crash with former team-mate Kimi Raikkonen on the final lap.
As the two closed up behind Russell, Vettel moved to overtake Raikkonen on the run into Turn 6, but the two came together before making the corner, causing both to spear off into the grass.
Despite retiring, Vettel still classified ahead of both Haas drivers, with Mick Schumacher leading team-mate Nikita Mazepin.
Elsewhere outside of the points, Yuki Tsunoda was 12th, picking up two five-second time penalties for crossing the white line at the pit lane entry on two separate occasions.
He was ahead of Lance Stroll and Antonio Giovinazzi, who also picked up penalties during the grand prix. Nicholas Latifi was 15th, ahead of Raikkonen, who reached the chequered flag despite his crash.
