Spectators will be allowed to attend the second and third rounds of the 2021 DTM championship at Lausitzring and Zolder.
The opening round of the championship at Monza was held behind closed doors, but fan access has been made been possible for the next two rounds.
At the Lausitzring, up to 10.000 spectators will be admitted per day, while the number at Zolder is lower with 5.000 fans, also due to limited grandstand capacity.
Access at the Lausitzring will be exclusively limited to the grandstands, with no paddock access in place. Spectators willing to attend will have to have been vaccinated, received a negative test result or have recovered from a previous virus infection. Face masks will be mandatory in the event area, except when seated.
At Zolder, fans will be admitted into two zones surrounding the area of grandstand 3 or the forest area surrounding grandstand 6. Like at Lausitzring, the paddock at Zolder will be off limits to spectators.
“We simply can’t await finally being able to welcome fans at the DTM again,” said Benedikt Böhme, ITR managing director. After the successful season opener at Monza, admitting spectators at Lausitzring and Zolder is a great sign for all DTM fans.”
