The World Rally Championship headed to the island of Sardinia for the Rally Italia Sardegna, which turned out to be a race of attrition as just a handful of cars would see the finish thanks to the demanding gravel roads. It was Sebastien Ogier who extended his points lead with a thrilling victory over team-mate Elfyn Evans.
