Red Bull Junior driver Dennis Hauger has qualified on pole position for the opening round for the FIA Formula 3 Championship in Barcelona.
The PREMA pilot pipped Trident’s Jack Doohan by 0.006 seconds, while Alpine Academy driver Victor Martins was third ahead of Matteo Nannini.
Mercedes Development driver Frederik Vesti qualified fifth, with Olli Caldwell, Clement Novalak, Logan Sargeant, David Schumacher and Caio Collet rounding out the top ten.
Due to the change to the weekend format for this year, thus the top 12 qualifiers being reversed for Race 1, Jonny Edgar will start from pole position for Race 1 alongside Alex Smolyar.
Younger brother of Charles, Arthur Leclerc will line up in a disappointing 15th for both Race 1 and 3.
The first race of the weekend begins at 10:35 local track time.
