With Formula 1 on a break before next weekend’s Portuguese Grand Prix, there was still plenty of single-seater categories in action, headed by the all-electric FIA Formula E championship. Rounds five and six took place in Valencia, as Hannah Prydderch outlines all the drama that unfolded at the Spanish venue.
The World Rally Championship also returned to our screens, with Croatia hosting its first-ever WRC event. The venue didn’t disappoint as a close, intense battle for the win played out, with Graham Harris bringing all the information from the enticing weekend.
Elsewhere, IndyCar was back in action for a second consecutive weekend as St. Petersburg hosted the second round of the 2021 season – our IndyCar editor Kevin Dejewski brings you the words from the exciting event. Also in the United States, this week’s NASCAR circus travelled to Talladega for the Geico 500, as championship-leader Denny Hamlin searched for his first win of the 2021 campaign; Amanda Vincent has your report.
As an added bonus this week, MM resident agony aunt (and social media manager) Claire Millins debuts her “Dear Carla” column and has some wise words of wisdom for a young racing driver by the name of George… We also have a couple of F1 features, as our technical expert Rosario Giuliana takes a closer look at the Red Bull RB16 and Philip Horton remembers Lewis Hamilton’s famous recovery drives after his run from the gravel to the podium at the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix.
