UNI-Virtuosi driver Felipe Drugovich set the fastest overall time across three days of FIA Formula 2 testing at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.
Championship organisers arranged a three-day test at the venue which will host next weekend’s Formula 1 Spanish Grand Prix.
The championship, running under its revised format of three races at eight events, began in Bahrain and will resume alongside Formula 1 around the streets of Monaco.
Drugovich clocked a time of 1:27.945s on the final morning of the test to finish almost two-tenths of a second quicker than Alpine-backed Prema driver Oscar Piastri.
MP Motorsport’s Richard Verschoor – yet to conclude a full-time deal for 2021 – was third overall, ahead of ART Grand Prix’s Christian Lundgaard.
Red Bull-supported Hitech duo Liam Lawson and Juri Vips took fifth and sixth in the combined classification, with Campos’ Ralph Boschung and ART Grand Prix’s Theo Pourchaire next up.
Ferrari proteges Robert Shwartzman (Prema) and Marcus Armstrong (DAMS) rounded out the top 10.
Title leader Guanyu Zhou finished the three-day test in 14th overall.
